PRP Facial
Your blood. Your glow.
What Is PRP Facial?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy — often called the "vampire facial" — uses your own blood's healing power to rejuvenate your skin. A small blood draw is processed to concentrate the platelets and growth factors, which are then applied to your skin.
These concentrated growth factors signal your body to produce new collagen, improve blood supply, and accelerate cellular renewal. It's the ultimate natural treatment — using nothing but your own biology.
At Lumière, we typically combine PRP with microneedling for maximum effectiveness. The micro-channels created by microneedling allow the PRP to penetrate deeply, delivering growth factors where they can do the most good.
What Does PRP Facial Treat?
- •Fine lines and early wrinkles
- •Dull, lackluster skin
- •Under-eye dark circles
- •Uneven skin texture
- •Acne scars (when combined with microneedling)
- •Hair thinning (PRP scalp injections)
What to Expect
Consultation & Planning
We'll discuss your skin goals and determine if PRP alone or PRP with microneedling is the best approach. We'll also explain the blood draw process and what to expect.
The Treatment
A small blood draw (similar to a lab test) is spun in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelet-rich plasma. This golden liquid is then applied topically during microneedling or injected into specific areas. Total treatment time is 60-75 minutes.
Your Results & Recovery
Expect redness and mild swelling for 24-48 hours. Over the following 2-4 weeks, you'll notice improved skin texture, tone, and radiance. Growth factor stimulation continues for several months, with optimal results after a series of 3 treatments.

Does the blood draw hurt?+
It's the same as a routine blood test — a quick needle stick. The rest of the treatment (topical PRP application) is comfortable, especially with numbing cream applied beforehand.
How many sessions do I need?+
We recommend a series of 3 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. Many patients then do maintenance sessions every 6-12 months to sustain their results.
Is PRP better than other anti-aging treatments?+
PRP is unique because it uses your own biology — there's no risk of allergic reaction and the growth factors are tailored to your body. It works beautifully alone and as a complement to other treatments like microneedling, fillers, and laser.
What's the difference between PRP and a regular facial?+
PRP goes far beyond surface-level treatment. The concentrated growth factors stimulate collagen production at a cellular level, creating improvements that continue for months — not just the temporary glow of a traditional facial.
